Every Thursday, the members of Hammerspace gather to socialize, network, and meet new members of the space. We welcome the community at large to come down during this time to explore the workshop, check out all of the tools, fabrication equipment and work space made available to HammerSpace members, and ask questions of our community of Hammerspace users.
There is a concession stand and kids playroom available, and the evening is always the origin point of new and amazing creative ideas.
Tours are led every 30 minutes for those curious about the tools and capabilities of the facility and staff. This is a free event, open to the public.

Continuing our tradition of helping a local non-profit organization with our Photo Walk assets, this year we are going to focus our evening (and lenses) on Lakeside Nature Center. They provide care for injured Missouri wildlife, with over 100 hands-on volunteers providing support for wildlife rehabilitation, education, and conservation activities. Rehabilitation of thousands of native animals and birds is accomplished by specially trained staff and volunteers who are instructed by volunteer veterinarians. Late spring is when the center sees many baby animals brought in for rehabilitation. Besides the animal rehabilitation, Lakeside Nature Center has many educational exhibits, and several nature trails.
After the photowalk we will post our best images to a website. Lakeside Nature Center will select the prize-winning photo. The photos become available to the nonprofit to use as they see fit in their marketing and promotion (with the provision that our members can use their own photos in their portfolios).
Don't forget we will draw for the Creative Cloud annual subscription in the raffle drawing and you must be present to win!

WELDING FOR EVERYONE! In this class, the instructor will cover basic welding techniques. A variety of useful welding methods will be demonstrated and then repeated by the students. Open to beginners as well as those who have prior experience.
Please bring a long sleeved, preferably denim shirt with you to protect your arms. The class will introduce you to flux-core wire feed, MIG and ARC welding. For ages: 18-118 (All materials included) Seating is limited, so do not hesitate to sign up if interested.

First Mondays are "Pitch Nights," when we have a slot for new project pitches during kickoff; third Mondays are "Learn Nights," where we have community speakers on civic tech topics from 6:30-7:30pm.

In this Sunday afternoon's class, we'll be building and flying Estes model rockets while learning
about the physics that makes a rocket go! It's an awesome afternoon of construction, science
and flight!
Children will need an adult assistant to help with construction and launch. We will be using glue
scissors and paint. For the truly adventurous, we can talk about rocket modifications and
customization!
The class will be rain or shine. Hopefully we will be able to launch outside, but if not we'll open
one of the big workshop garage doors and launch out into the parking lot!
In this 3 hour class we will:
● The Basics of rocketry and propulsion
● Building our rockets
● Launch!
If you are not a member of Hammerspace, please arrive a few minutes early so we can cover
some basic safety topics.
Class Fee: $40 per rocket
Open to both HammerSpace members AND non-members!
