The Liquor | Intro to JavaScript

Join us for our monthly coding series, Coding & Cocktails. Women are invited to attend sessions to get an introduction to website building in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.

We'll build a programming foundation covering some of the basics like variables and data types. We'll talk about what JavaScript is and why it is important to front-end developers along with how to incorporate JavaScript into a website. LIke the liquor in a cocktail, JavaScript brings the extra "oomph" that the web needs to function. We'll practice working with JavaScript with support from our awesome mentors!!

There will be lots of guidance and support for those with no coding experience so come join the fun!

- Wifi-enabled laptop is required (don't have one? Borrow one of ours)
- Must be at least 21 to attend
- Cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and dinner served

First Mondays are "Pitch Nights," when we have a slot for new project pitches during kickoff; third Mondays are "Learn Nights," where we have community speakers on civic tech topics from 6:30-7:30pm.
